These comments and
subsequent responses were reviewed with City Administration as well, on February 18, 2020. We
appreciate the continued collaboration and process to find solutions that work for the District as well
as the City. Let us know if you have any comments or require additional information at this time.

1) The access to the site on the west side of the parking lot will be modified to accommodate
right turn only traffic.
2) Currently, the District does not intend, or have the means necessary to relocate drop-off or
pick-up. If upon the completion of the parking lot project, backups continue to occur in
School Street, the District will work with the City to come to a resolution on this matter.
3) The School District was not involved in the reconstruction of the Lions Park Drive. As
indicated by Justin Femrite during a meeting with the school district on February 18th, the
repairs to the traffic signal will be completed by the city.
4) The proposed 30” line has always been anticipated in order to maximize the capacity of the
existing 42” sewer line running under Lion’s Park Drive. Per BKBM’s discussion with
Justin Femrite on February 18th, the proposed sewer line will be acceptable.
5) Currently the drive lanes leaving the parking lot are angled and 11’ wide. In addition, the
curb radius at this corner is 10’. The proposed drive lanes will be perpendicular to School
street and are each 14’ wide. The proposed curb radius at this corner will be 15’. The
revised entrance should improve or eliminate cars jumping the existing curb.
6) Noted for areas within the project extents.
7) The School District does not currently have plans to install electrical vehicle charging
stations at any of the schools. If conduit is needed for EV charging stations at any of the
designated ice arena stalls, please indicate where the proposed conduit is to run.
8) Noted.

If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
BKBM ENGINEERS

Kevin Bohl
Direct Line: (763) 843-0427
