Choice Health & Fitness Center <br />Grand Forks Park District — Grand Forks, ND <br />A capital campaign was implemented to build a state -of -art 160,000 sq. ft. fitness center <br />that opened in 2012. The capital campaign was the largest Park and Recreation capital <br />campaign by triple of its nature in the state of North Dakota. Sponsorship packages <br />were developed as a major component of the campaign. <br />The project has been recognized by several national organizations in the park and <br />recreation and fitness fields because of its unique success. The consultant has provided <br />two presentations to the national conventions of the Recreation and Park Association <br />and one to the Athletic Business Association. Several articles have been published on <br />the project in magazines of national and international distribution such as the <br />Recreation Management Association, attached as Appendix A. <br />Return on Investment: 24.5% <br />$183,203 Spent <br />$229,000 Raised through Sponsorship Program <br />2. MAZA Arena <br />Minot Park District - Minot, ND <br />The MAZA arena was first build in 2000 as a two -rink ice facility. The consultant was <br />contracted in 2012 to raise the capital funds to build a third rink which also contained <br />seating for 2000 spectators. The campaign was successful and the facility is in its third <br />year of operation. It has surpassed all projected goals. <br />As part of the sponsorship program, seven giving club levels were created and 34 facility <br />naming opportunities were offered, attached as Appendix B. <br />Return on Investment: <br />
