W.2Water Distribution System Maintenance Program <br />1.0Water Map <br />A.Up-date for new developments (Level of detail Tee, Elbow, Distance to property line, <br />Depth). <br />B.Locate all past leaks and trouble areas. <br />C.Develop and maintain Pressure / Flow model. <br />D.Maintain State of Minnesota annual inspection forms. <br />E.Distribution leak survey every 5 years if water losses justify. <br />F.Locate and maintain water service location records. <br />2.0 Wells <br />A. Inspect wells & filter plants daily. <br />B. Test one well per year for all SDWA listed contaminants. <br />C. Read drawdown monthly for each well. <br />D. Pull and inspect pump and motor on each well no later than every eight years <br /> (10,000 hours) or one every other year. <br />E. System sampling for bacteria and fluoride concentrations on a regular schedule. <br />F. Maintain daily pumping records with chemicals used. <br />3.0 Valves <br />A. Locate valves on valve cards with manufacturer, date, type, and GPS location. <br />B. Chart showing valve size versus number of turns to open. <br />C. Annual maintenance check condition of road box or manhole exercise valve. <br /> <br />4.0 Hydrants <br />A. Number all hydrants per quadrants of Elk River. <br />B. List number, location, type, manufacturer, date, valve size and type, static pressure, <br /> residual pressure, flow, flow @ 20 psi. <br />C. Last painted. <br />D. Inspected for frozen barrel. <br />E. Annually flush all hydrants, flush dead ends three times per year. <br />359 <br />
