Make notes on the caller's voice: <br /> Male Adult Accent Repeated Phrases <br /> Female Child Speech Other <br /> Listen for other clues such as background noise: <br /> Music Airplanes Trains <br /> People talking Traffic Machines <br /> Children TV Other <br /> 15. In the event of a bomb threat, IMMEDIATELY call 911 from a different phone. <br /> a) State, "I have just received a bomb threat." <br /> b) Give your name, address, and phone number. <br /> c) Give the building name, floor, or department where the bomb was reported to <br /> be. <br /> d) Give any other information you may have received. <br /> 16. If you think a suspicious device or bomb is in your work area, or if you have discovered <br /> a suspicious package, notify your supervisor immediately even if no threat had been <br /> received. <br /> a) All personnel should make a quick check of their respective work areas to <br /> determine if anything unusual is present. Do not touch, move or open any <br /> packages, boxes, envelopes or suspicious objects. <br /> b) Immediately report any suspicious items to your Supervisor or Department <br /> Head. <br /> c) The Supervisor should report to the General Manager or his/her designee, as <br /> well as the responding police officers, the location of the suspicious items. <br /> 17. Let the search team know if your work area appears clear. <br /> 18. If directed to leave the building, evacuate and report to the designated assembly area. <br /> 19. Evacuation will be accomplished by means other than a general fire alarm. A voice page <br /> may be used, but the word"bomb" should not be used in the evacuation message as it <br /> would cause undue alarm and panic. The voice page shall include, for example, the <br /> following message: <br /> "May I have your attention please, all employees and visitors shall <br /> evacuate the building as quickly and safely as possible. Immediately proceed to <br /> the designated assembly area outside of the building. Further information will be <br /> given when everyone has safely evacuated outside to the designated assembly <br /> area. Thank you." <br /> 6 <br /> 87 <br />
