In addition, he coordinated with the US Fish and Wildlife <br />Service regarding nesting waterfowl in the project area. <br />Interstate 35E MnPASS, Environmental Compliance Management | <br />St. Paul, MN <br />CLIENT: MN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (MNDOT) <br />PROJECT DURATION: MAR 2015 - DEC 2017 <br />Provided Environmental Compliance Management (ECM) and oversight for MnDOT. <br />This Design/Build project included complete re-construction of 3-mile segment of <br />Interstate 35E, north of Downtown St. Paul. He managed weekly National Pollutant <br />Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) construction permit compliance walk-throughs, <br />and verified wetland impacts and protection, as well as seed mix establishment. Shawn <br />attended weekly project meetings and worked together collaboratively will all parties <br />to ensure environmental compliance throughout the two years of project management. <br />He facilitated Technical Evaluation Panel (TEP) meetings, reviewed/verified annual <br />monitoring reports, and provided suggestions for plant community and wetland <br />hydrology establishment in accordance with the permit requirements. <br />Shawn Williams <br />SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST <br />Shawn has been a Project Manager and Senior Environmental Scientist in WSB’s Natural <br />Resources department for over 4 years. Shawn has over 14 years of professional <br />environmental consulting experience. He prepares wetland replacement plan <br />applications, wetland protection/management plans, and ecological assessments. For <br />the MN Wetland Conservation Act, he serves the role of Local Government Unit (LGU) <br />for municipal clients. Shawn manages projects from beginning to end and coordinates <br />with clients, project engineers, and agency staff to achieve timely results. Shawn has <br />received formal training in wetland delineation methods, wetland plant identification, <br />floristic quality assessment methods, NPDES compliance, and Geographic Information <br />Systems (GIS). He is experienced with evaluating and permitting many sites throughout <br />the Upper Midwest.
