Summary Abstract for CG-2036 - Elk River Municipal Utilities <br /> Project Title: <br /> Elk River Municipal Utilities Partners with City of Elk River and Local Businesses to Provide Fast <br /> Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging as Part of Green Step Cities Initiative <br /> Status <br /> The DEED Grant CG-2036 is complete, but Elk River Municipal Utilities (EMRU) will continue to <br /> explore and expand electric vehicle and charging infrastructure program opportunities in the <br /> future. <br /> Dates <br /> The project term as submitted in the original proposal was from November 2016 through <br /> October 2017. Elk River Municipal Utilities obtained an extension to May of 2019. <br /> Purpose <br /> The goal of the electric vehicle charging program was to leverage the existing partnership with <br /> the City of Elk River to increase local and statewide awareness of the benefits of electric <br /> vehicles, Time-Of-Use (TOU) rates, and learn from experience about public charging systems <br /> and associated rates. <br /> Utility Name and Address <br /> Elk River Municipal Utilities <br /> 13069 Orono Parkway <br /> P.O.
