Raising and/or lowering an existing manhole to meet a proposed finished rim elevation is performed when <br /> the addition and/or deletion of 2.0-inch adjusting rings will not reach a minimum of 2 rings or exceed a <br /> maximum of 6 rings. Typically, it will require the: <br /> 1. Removal of the manhole cone section or concrete slab top <br /> 2. Addition, removal or exchange of barrel sections <br /> 3. Replacement of the cone section or the flat slab top <br /> 4. Installation of the proper number of adjusting rings <br /> 5. Replacement of the manhole frame and casting. <br /> 6.
