No additional payment shall be made for Erosion Control BMP's necessary to accommodate Contractor <br /> phasing or work methods including increased quantities,alternative methods,and turf restoration impacts. <br /> 1.3 SPECIFICATION REFERENCES <br /> A. Mn DOT 2573—Stormwater Management. <br /> B. Mn DOT 2574—Soil Preparation <br /> C. MnDOT 2575—Establishing Turf and Controlling Erosion <br /> D. Mn DOT 1717—Air, Land and Water Pollution <br /> E. Section 02920-Turf Restoration of this Project Manual shall apply to Rapid Stabilization. In the absence of <br /> Section 02920, MnDOT 2575, method 3 shall apply. <br /> F. Unless noted otherwise,the provisions in this section are in addition to the referenced specification. <br /> PART 2-- PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 MATERIALS <br /> A. Bale checks shall not be used. <br /> B. Where type and rate of seed,fertilizer,and mulch are not designated on the plans or elsewhere in the <br /> specifications,the MnDOT Seed Mix and Turf Establishment recommendations for the district where the <br /> project is located shall apply except that the seeding rate shall be 1.5 times the MnDOT indicated rate. <br /> PART 3-- EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 GENERAL <br /> A. Construction and/or installation of all appropriate erosion&sediment control devices shall be completed <br /> prior to any soil disturbing activities. <br /> B. Prior to construction,the Contractor shall observe and document the existing storm water outfall system <br /> and discharge area. Sediment deposits not documented prior to the construction may be assumed to have <br /> originated from the project site and shall be required to remove and dispose of by the Contractor. <br /> C. Exit areas and connected roads shall be kept clean of tracking and sediment release from the site.All <br /> material shall be cleaned up the sooner of within 24 hours of discovery or the end of each business day. <br /> Washing or sweeping of material into the storm sewer system shall not be allowed. <br /> 3.2 CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. The Contractor shall control drainage,erosion,and sediment on the project including: haul roads, <br /> temporary construction,waste disposal sites, plant and storage locations,and borrow pits,other than <br /> commercially operated sources. <br /> B.
