Project Approach, Page 8 <br />Project Approach - Section 3 <br />Task 3 - Boundary and Topographic Survey <br />Complete a boundary survey and topographic survey of the project area. In consultation with O & E <br />reports and legal descriptions, locate property monuments such that the existing right -of-way and <br />easement locations can be determined. Survey all surface features within the project limits, such as <br />pavement areas, landscape areas, curb and gutters, road edges, shoulder edges, traffic signs, business <br />signs, light poles, trees, bollards, mailboxes, retaining walls, storm sewers, catchbasins, culverts, etc. <br />Task 4 - Draft Existing Right-of-Way <br />In consultation with the property legal descriptions, O & E Reports, and field collected data prepare a <br />parcel base map which depicts existing easements and right-of-ways. <br />Task 5 - Parcel Sketches <br />Upon completion of Preliminary Design, prepare parcel sketches by a Licensed Land Surveyor depicting <br />proposed right-of-way and temporary easement acquisition. <br />Task 6 - Final Right-of-Way Plat <br />Prepare a Right-of-Way plat to identify the new right-of-way and record at the Sherburne County <br />recorders office. <br />Phase 5 – Public and Private Utility Identification and Coordination <br />Task 1 – Gopher One Locate Call <br />Submit a Gopher One Locate ticket prior to the topographic survey such that all in-place utilities can be <br />surveyed. <br />Task 2 - Evaluate Impacts <br />Upon completion of Preliminary Design, identify the impacts to the existing utilities. Determine the need <br />to design modifications to the existing sanitary sewer, watermain, lighting, or other utilities due to impacts <br />caused by the project. <br />Task 3 - Utility Improvements or Expansion <br />Design the proposed sanitary sewer and watermain along the proposed Yale Street extension. Obtain the <br />required electric utility design from Elk River Municipal Utilities and incorporate into the project plans at <br />30%, 60%, 90% and final construction plans. <br />Task 4 - Private Utilities <br />Identify required private utility relocation or adjustments necessary for the project. <br />Task 5 - Utility Meetings <br />Coordinate and conduct two utility meetings with public and private utilities to share information and <br />coordinate relocations and new facilities.
