<br />, <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded by Councilman otto to accept and adopt the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission to retain the street addresses .and names <br />now being used in the Village of Elk River and that all addresses outsideof the . <br />original village (section 33 and 34) be according to the new township of Elk River, <br />numbering system. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed the bid quotation received from Elk River Ford and Country Chyrsler <br />for a new squad car. After review Council noted that two items on the specifications <br />were missing. The Clerk was instructed to contact the two bidders and obtain the needed <br />information by the next regular scheduled meeting. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded by Councilman Syring to amend the original resolutio <br />calling for an election onf210,OOO. General Obligation Library Bldg. Bonds upon the <br />recommendation of the Village Attorney to change that portion pertaining to acquisition <br />and betterment to read acquisition, construction, equipping and furnishing of a municipal <br />library in the Village. The motion was carried by a vote of 3~. The following members <br />voted for: Councilmen Syring, Hudson & Otto. The following members voted against: <br />Mayor Lundberg. Councilman Cooper was absent. A copy of the revised resolution is attached. <br /> <br />The Mayor reviewed the Flood Plain Ordinance for the Council. It was suggested that this be <br />sent to the Planning Commission for their review and recommendation. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded by Councilman otto authorizing Les Derr to make the <br />., oX <br />purchase of theffVe tires from Ken Nelson if he felt they are needed. Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />The Council discussed the need for stop signs on Upland & Meadowvale Rd. It was felt that <br />the yield sign on Upland should be replaced by a stop sign and have Les Derr check with. <br />the County first for their okay. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Otto to approve the list of General <br />Government Bills for payment as listed. A copy of the list is attached. Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />The Clerk-Treasurer was instructed to send letters to the property owners along Jackson <br />next to Big Joe's requesting that they trim the trees that overhang onto the sidewalk. <br /> <br />No further business the meeting adjourned at 10:35 PM. <br /> <br />C=ti::zrc- <br /> <br />Clerk-Treas <br /> <br /> <br />. <br />
