<br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ELK nIVER <br />ID~LD IN THE COUNCIL CEAfiIBER OF THE VILLAGE OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />November 6th 1972 at 7:30 pm. <br /> <br />The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Elk River Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Bartelt on November 6, 1972 at 7:30 pm. in the Council Chambers of the Village Office <br />Building. Members were present as follows: Mayor Bartelt, CounciL~en Syring, Konop, Hudson <br />and John MacGibbon, Village Attorney. <br /> <br />The minutes of the October 16, 1972 regular monthly meeting were mailed. All members received <br />and read the minutes there were no additions or corrections and the minutes were approved as <br />mailed. <br /> <br />At 7:45 pm. Mayor Bartelt declared the taking of bids for the bulk gasoline be closed. The <br />bids received were a5 follows: <br /> <br />Standard Oil Division <br />Thompson Skelly Service <br /> <br />24.4i per gal including State Tax <br />24.6~ per gal including State Tax <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman <br />award the bid for bulk gasoline submitted by Standard <br />24.4~ per gal. which includes the State Gasoline Tax. <br />vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Konop that the Village accept and <br />Oil Division at the bid price of <br />Motion unaminously carried by a <br /> <br />Rex Uetinger Village Building Inspector met with the Council requesting a variance for <br />William J. Toth to build a house on his lot which at present has an existing house. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Hudson approving the variance <br />allowing two dwellings on one lot to William J. Toth and to issue a building permit <br />stipulating that the permit and variance expires June 1, 1973 if the old building(existing <br />building) has not been removed at that time. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />8:00 pm. Councilman Robert Otto in attendance. <br /> <br />At 8:00 pm. the assessment hearing for the 1972 Watermain Construction for the Industrial <br />Perk Area convened. Lyle Swanson representing Mills Engineering was in attendance. <br /> <br />John Bailey representing Cretex was in attendance for the hearing.~e voiced no opposition <br />to the assessments as presented. As there was no others in attendance opposing the <br />hearing, the hearing was declared closed. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Otto and seconded by Councilman Syring to adopt the Assessment Roll <br />for the 1972 Watermain Construction for the Industrial Park assessments, as calculated <br />by the Village Engineer and to certify them to the County Auditor for collection through <br />the annual taxes over a 15 year term. The interest on the unpaid balance tQ be 7% to <br />start accuring December 5, 1972. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Lyle Swanson presented to the Council for review the preliminary assessment roll for the <br />1972 Elk River Street Construction prepared by lulls Engineering Company dated November <br />3, 1972. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded by,Councilman Konop to accept the preliminary <br />assessment roll dated November 3, 1972 prepared by Mills Engineering Company and to <br />authorize the Village Clerk-Treasurer to advertise in the Sherburne County Star News of a <br />Assessment Hearing to be held in the Council Chambers of the Village Office Building at <br />8:00 pm. Monday December 4, 1972 for the 1972 Street Improvements. Motion unaminously <br />carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Hudson to adopt the resolution <br />with the Board of Directors of Guardian Angels Foundation subject to the provisions <br />
