SECTION 01410-REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS <br /> PART 1-- GENERAL <br /> 1.1 SUMMARY <br /> A. Applicable codes and standards referred to in these specifications shall establish minimum requirements for <br /> equipment, materials,construction and shall be superseded by more stringent requirements of drawings <br /> and specifications when and where they occur. <br /> B. All equipment furnished and installed under the contract shall be designed,fabricated,assembled, <br /> installed,and placed into service. The equipment will conform to the applicable provisions of the Federal <br /> and State Safety and Health Standards, including but not limited to Federal Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Regulations for Construction;the Division of Environmental Health, Minnesota Department of Health;the <br /> Minnesota Pollution Control Agency;the Department of Natural Resources;the Minnesota Department of <br /> Transportation, Division of Highways;the Minnesota Industrial Commission and ordinances of the City that <br /> apply to this work. <br /> C. All construction methods and tools shall comply with commonly accepted standards for safety and health of <br /> personnel engaged on construction, including but not limited to Federal Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Regulations for Construction;the Division of Environmental Health, Minnesota Department of Health;the <br /> Minnesota Pollution Control Agency;the Department of Natural Resources;the Minnesota Department of <br /> Transportation, Division of Highways;the Minnesota Industrial Commission and ordinances of the City that <br /> apply to this work. <br /> D. Any conflicts between specifications and applicable codes and standards shall be referred to the Engineer. <br /> 1.2 PERMITS OBTAINED BY OWNER <br /> A. The Owner has applied for the following permits from appropriate authorities. It is anticipated that <br /> permission to proceed will be authorized prior to execution of Contract. The Contractor shall perform all <br /> work and conduct itself in full accordance with the requirements of the applicable permit: <br /> 1. Minnesota Pollution Control Agency(MPCA)- Extension of sanitary sewers. <br /> B. The Contractor shall be responsible for meeting any bonding or insurance requirements which may be <br /> required as a condition to any permit, listed above. <br /> 1.3 PERMITS OBTAINED BY CONTRACTOR <br /> A. The Contractor shall secure and pay the cost of any other permits not mentioned above,which may be <br /> required including but not limited to: <br /> 1. Minnesota Pollution Control Agency(MPCA)-General Storm Water Permit for Construction Activity <br /> (MN R100001) <br /> 2. Work within County right-of-way permit. <br /> 1.4 WORK WITHIN A RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY <br /> A.
