Letter to and from Courtney Field <br /> <br />No discussion on this issue. <br /> <br />6.4. Comment on Ordinance Amendment Regardina Application of Lawn Fertilizer <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf, Building & Zoning Administrator, reviewed the proposed ordinance <br />amendment which would allow the city to regulate the application of lawn <br />fertilizer. He explained that the ordinance is specifically aimed at reducing <br />phosphorus, which increases the intensity and duration of algae bloom in Lake <br />Orono. The Commissioners expressed their support for the ordinance <br />amendment. <br /> <br />Ms. McPherson stated that City Attorney Peter Beck will be meeting with the <br />Commission on March 13th. She noted that she will be contacting the <br />Commissioners to set up the annual meeting when she is back from the National <br />Conference. <br /> <br />Ms. McPherson explained that this is Commissioner Chambers' last meeting. She <br />introduced Doug Franz as the new Commissioner. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Adiournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, COMMISSIONER BAKER MOVED TO ADJOURN THE <br />MEETING. COMMISSIONER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION.
