<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Special Planning Commission Meeting Minutes <br />August 8, 2000 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Chair Mesich left the meeting at this time (8:30 p.m.) <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Ethics <br /> <br />The Planning Commission reviewed information from the AICP and the APA on <br />ethics in planning. They also discussed at length a sample commissioner's creed <br />from the Utah Planning and Zoning Administration. The Commission was split as to <br />the need for formal adoption of a creed, when many of the components are <br />included in the commission's policies and procedures manual. The Commission <br />directed staff to review the existing policy and procedures manual, compare it to <br />the sample from Utah, and draft a comparable example from the City of Elk River <br />Planning Commission information. They also requested that the City Attorney <br />review this creed for lawsuit potential. This will be reviewed at a future Planning <br />Commission workshop meeting. <br /> <br />7. Information Items <br /> <br />a. State Conference - Commissioners Mesich and Schuster indicated that they <br />would like to attend the State Planning Conference to be held September 20 - <br />22, 2000. in Duluth. Minnesota. <br /> <br />b. Article on Rosemount's Downtown - This was provided to the Commission for <br />their information only. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Adiournment <br /> <br />There being no further business. COMMISSIONER PEDERSON MOVED TO ADJOURN <br />THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER SCHUSTER SECONDED THE MOTION.
