Consider 2/23/99 Plannina Commission Minutes <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER THOMPSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 23, 1999 MINUTES. <br />COMMISSIONER KUESTER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />5. Planning Commission Representative to Attend 4/19/99 City Council Meeting <br /> <br />Commissioner Kuester will attend the April 19, 1999, City Council meeting. <br /> <br />6.1. <br /> <br />Request by Best Yard Services, Inc./G. Schroeder for Conditional Use Permit for <br />Home Occupation, Public Hearina Case No. CU 99-6 <br /> <br />Staff report by Scott Harlicker. Greg Schroeder is requesting a conditional use <br />permit to operate a landscaping business from his home at 13324 Ranch Road. <br />Scott reviewed Mr. Schoeder's proposal, noting that staff recommends approval <br />with the conditions outlined in the staff report to the Planning Commission dated <br />March 23, 1999. <br /> <br />Chair Cote opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Duane Zacharda, 13446 Ranch Road, asked how much traffic would be <br />generated by the home business. Scott indicated that there would be no retail <br />sales and the only traffic would be the employees going to and from the site to <br />pick up stock. <br /> <br />Commissioner Mesich asked how many employees Mr. Schroeder could have. <br />Scott explained that the ordinance does not limit the number of employees in this <br />case, since they will not be working on the site. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER THOMPSON MOVED THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMEND <br />APPROVAL OF THE REQUEST BY GREG SCHOEDER FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />TO OPERATE A HOME OCCUPATION (LANDSCAPING BUSINESS), AT 13324 RANCH <br />ROAD, WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br /> <br />1. ALL OUTDOOR STORAGE OF MATERIALS AND SUPPLIED SHALL BE WITHIN AN <br />ENCLOSED AREA SO THAT IT IS NOT VISIBLE FROM THE STREET OR ADJACENT <br />PROPERTIES. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />THE ENCLOSURE SHALL CONSIST OF A STOCKADE FENCE AND SHALL ALSO <br />INCLUDE LANDSCAPING AS APPROVED BY STAFF. <br />
