Neighborhood Meetings/Discussions: None <br /> <br />7. Park Development Progress Report - Terry Bye <br /> <br />Park Foreman, Terry Bye shared pictures of Big Tooth Ridge Park. Mr. Bye stated that Big <br />John Construction took 1 'n feet off the berm and cleaned out the brush, trees and tree <br />stumps. Mr. Bye stated they seeded the area with annual rye grass. <br /> <br />Mr. Bye stated that Highlands West basketball court has been paved and they may have to <br />put some sort of storm sewer to drain an area near the trail to when it rains to prevent <br />washouts. <br /> <br />Mr. Bye stated that at Oak Savannah they have finished placing new wood chips on the <br />trails. <br /> <br />Mr. Bye shared that the Dogi Pots have been placed at Lions Park, Woodlands Trails, <br />Mississippi Oaks 2nd. <br /> <br />Mr. Bye stated that Lions Park has a newly paved basketball court and they have done some <br />work along the trails. <br /> <br />Commissioner Anderson asked if the permanent seeding in Big Tooth Ridge will be done <br />next year. <br /> <br />Mr. Bye stated that the seeding will take place next year when they decide what kind of seed <br />they will use. <br /> <br />8. City Recreation Update - Michele Bergh <br /> <br />Recreation Manager, Michele Bergh shared a list with the Commission of all the June <br />programs currently running. <br /> <br />Ms. Bergh also shared that the Recreation Department participated in the 4th of July event at <br />Orono and will be participating in the Sherburne County Fair Parade on July 16th. Ms. <br />Bergh stated they use these events for marketing. <br /> <br />Ms. Bergh stated that the department will begin taking on-line registrations August 4th <br />beginning with the new September-October Program Guide. <br /> <br />Ms. Bergh shared that they are helping football reserve fields for fall. <br /> <br />Ms. Bergh stated that they are still dealing with issues with the skatepark and are looking at <br />getting quotes for security cameras that would be placed inside and out of the building. <br />They will also be working with the Police Department when the new Parks and Recreation <br />Director starts to create a policy for the skatepark. <br />
