Mr. Hetrick suggested that Jackson Place continue to be served with 2 <br />way traffic with angle parking as there is very 11 t tle traffic from South to <br />North. Agreeable by- the Council to try 2 way traffic on Jackson Place for the <br />present time. <br /> <br />'. i <br />-.-/ <br /> <br />Lynn Moore representating the Elk River Jaycees requested pennission to operate <br />a popcorn stand in front of First National Bank on Friday evenings, to be lo- <br />cated on the sidewalk at the curve. He also voiced the interest of the Jaycees <br />to have a monthly street dance for teenagera at the downto\~ parking lot. <br /> <br />At 8:00 pm, Mayor Bartelt declared that the .taking of bids for the 1970 <br />bituminous seal coat for the Village be closed. <br /> <br />Bids were received as follows: Allied Blacktop Co., Minneapolis <br />N & S Asphalt Co., Anoka <br />Alama Blacktopping Co., Annandale <br /> <br />$ 5,953.50 <br />$ 6,190.00 <br />$ 4,95C.00 <br /> <br />After tabulation by Wm. Y~lls, Alama Blacktopping's bid was reduced to $ 4,590.00. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded by Councilman Konop, to accept the low <br />bid of llama Blacktopping Co., for the 1970 .bituminous seal coat on School Street <br />,between Proctor and Holt Avenues, 4th Street between Jackson and Irving Avenues, <br />5th Street between Jackson and Ir~ing Avenues, Railroad Drive between Jackson <br />A.venue and Main Street, York Avenue between ~ Main Street and <br />2nd Street, 2nd Street between York and Xenia Avenues, Xenia AvenUe between 2na <br />and Main Streets, 7th Street bet~en Gates and Irving Avenues, 6th Street <br />between Gates and Irving Avenues, Gates Avenue between 6th and 7th Streets, <br />Titpton Avenue between Main StI'eet and Upland Avenue, Upland Avenue between Main <br />Street and U.S. I-flghway 10, Alama Blacktopping Co., being judged competent by <br />the Village Engineer and authorizing the Ma;y-or and Village Clerk to sign a con- <br />t:ract in the amount of $4,590.00 based on quantities.
