NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />UPDATE OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />CITY OF ELK RIVER, MINNESOTA <br />ATTENTION RESIDENTS, BUSINESSES, PROPERTY OWNERS, AND <br />CONCERNED CITIZENS <br />PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Elk River, Minnesota, has <br />initiated an update of its existing Comprehensive Plan. This plan will help <br />guide development decisions in Elk River over the next decade and will be a <br />valuable document for the City, its Planning Commission, residents, and <br />businesses. <br />PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that an initial public hearing on the <br />proposed update of the Comprehensive Plan will be conducted by the Steering <br />Committee on Thursday, July14, 1994, at the Elk River City Hall, beginning <br />at 7 p.m. The public earih ng will address the commercial development <br />component of the Comprehensive Plan. Discussion topics may i u e an <br />overview of the existing inventory of commercial sites, the absorption rate of <br />commercial land, potential areas for new commercial development and the <br />downtown area. <br />All persons desiring to appear at the public hearing will be afforded an <br />opportunity to express their view with respect to the topic of commercial <br />development and the Comprehensive Plan. Interested persons may also file <br />written comments expressing their views with the City Planner up to the <br />date of the public hearing.
