Motion unaminously carried. <br /> <br />August Meyer r~ported tJat his waterline to the vil.lage, watermain <br />is rusting through account-too long a line and requested-that <br />the watermain from Jackson Avenue be extended to his property. <br />He was advised to present: a petition to the council requestirg <br />this improvement. Comp:l;.aint was also received on the refuse <br />tank trucks being parked overnight across the street frOm his <br />place of' business. -Elk:RiverSanitation will be contacted. <br /> <br />At 8:00 pm, ~~yor Bartelt reported that the taking bf bids for <br />th~ Village dumpt :bruck/be closed and that no further bids <br />would be accepted. <br />Bids were received as follows: <br />Chas.Olson & Sons, Mpls,'dump body only $1,646.00. <br />Custom l'16tors, Elk River; l-iodel 1800 Int'l complete with,~body <br />and plow $9,240.00. ) - ~ <br />Ros~nthal Ford, Elk River, Model F750 Ford complete ~~th body <br />and plow $9,547.00. <br /> <br />Moved by Counciihman Syring and seconded by Councilman McRae, <br />to grant the renewal of the CmubLicens oe at th~ American Legion <br />Club. 1.1otion ~ami.nously carried. )' <br /> <br />~- <br /> <br />}1oved by Councilman ~1cRae and seconded by Councilman Syring .) <br />that the building permit application presented by Curtis Briggs <br />be denied, pending further information from the applicant. <br />Motion unaminously carried. <br /> <br />At 330 pm, the meeting with the businessmen regarding improvement of the area behind <br />Coast to Coast, Davis etc., convened, present were Frank Dreissig, Cyril Lenzmeier, <br />lvf.ilt Dwyer and Dick Grosslein. No progress was made. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman McRae and seconded by Councilman Hudson, to adopt Ordinance No. 84, <br />annexation of the Industrial Park. Motion unaminously carried. <br /> <br />Guy Varty and Da.e Halgren, representing the Elk River Youth Hockey Association, pre- <br />sented their youth hockey program and requested aid. Set of boards at the Junlhor High <br />cost $200.00, additional ice at various other areas in town and another set of boards, <br />lights and rink next to the existing Senior High rink, cost $1,750.00. <br /> <br />Hoved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman McRae, pending further review <br />of the specifications by Les Derr and Councilman Hudson, to accept the low bid of <br />Custom Motors in the amount of $9,240.00 for a.
