Exterior windows and doors, fireplace and stove doors shall be closed, but not <br /> sealed, beyond the intended weatherstripping or other infiltration control measures; <br /> 2. Dampers including exhaust, intake, makeup air, backdraft and flue dampers shall be <br /> closed, but not sealed beyond intended infiltration control measures; <br /> 3. Interior doors, if installed at the time of the test, shall be open; <br /> 4. Exterior doors for continuous ventilation systems and heat recovery ventilators shall <br /> be closed and sealed; <br /> 5. Heating and cooling systems, if installed at the time of the test, shall be turned off; <br /> And <br /> 6. Supply and return registers, if installed at the time of the test, shall be fully open. <br /> <br />3. Duct Insulation. <br />All (Chapt. 1322) ductwork requires insulation. Please address. <br /> <br /> Insulation (Prescriptive). All exhaust, supply, and return air ducts and plenums shall be <br />insulated according to Table R403.2.1. [MR 1322.0403.2.1] <br /> <br />For the purposes of Table R403.2.1, the following applies: <br /> <br /> a. Insulation is only required in the conditioned space for a distance of 3 feet from <br /> the exterior or unconditioned space. <br /> b. V means the vapor retarder in accordance with IMC Section 604.11. When a <br /> vapor retarder is required, duct insulation required by this section shall be <br /> installed without respect to other building envelope insulation. <br /> c.
