<br /> <br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />July 5, 1977 at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />Members present Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Syring, Konop <br />and Toth. <br /> <br />The minutes of the June 20, 1977 meeting were reviewed as there <br />were no additions or corrections the minutes were approved as <br />printed. <br /> <br />Joe Kmitz and Gary Gruen of Olsen, Thielen and Company met with <br />the Council for the purpose of reviewing the !976 year end audit <br />for the General Government and Liquor Store operations. Mr. Kmitz <br />submitted a summary report of audit problems for the year ended <br />December 31, 1976 for Council review. A copy of which is attach- <br />ed. <br /> <br />Mr. Kmitz stated that the information transmitted from the office <br />was done properly, however the computors service did not monitor <br />the input information. <br /> <br /> <br />The Clerk was instructed to work with the auditors in up dating <br />the finacial statement for the 1st. six months of 1977 (June <br />30, 1977). <br /> <br />Phil Syles met with the Council regarding there request for <br />Council approval to hold a Rock Concert for August 13, 1977 at <br />the fair grounds. The Council stated that they had no objections. <br />The Council also stated that in the future all activities or <br />programs must be put into writting and submitted to the Chief <br />of Police one month in advance. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Toth <br />authorizing the Clerk to draft a letter to the Elk River Town <br />board stating that the City Council has no objections to the <br />Elk River Jaycees having a Rock Concert to beheld at the Fair <br />Grounds August 13, !977 at 7:30 pm~ to 10:30 pm. and that they <br />notify our Police Dept. Motion unanimously carried by a vote <br />of 4-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Toth and seconded by Councilmember Kooop <br />approving the platting fees as follows: $50.00 per plat and <br />$5.00 per lot with a maximum of $250.00.' Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br /> <br />The Council reviewed the Mc Chesneys preliminary plat. <br /> <br />MovedbyCouncilmemberSyring and seconded by Councilmember Toth <br />accepting the preliminary plat as presented subject to $100.00 <br />platting fee upon acceptance of the final plat which must include <br />posting of securities for street paving, sewer, water and street <br /> <br />signs installation. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br />
