MOTION PASSED 2-0. <br /> <br />13. :Blaine Midway All Pets Contract <br /> <br />The City Administrator distributed a chart indicati8g all costs incurred <br />with the animal contract agency, as well as the IliUmber of dogs impounded. <br />The City Council reviewed this chart and decided to take no further action <br />at this time. <br /> <br />14. Appointment of :Building Inspector <br /> <br />The City Administrator asked that the City Council approve as the <br />City's :Building Inspector Mr. Herbert AdolphSon, of st. Peter, Minnesota. <br />The City Administrator indicated that Mr. Adolphson had thirty-two years <br />of engineering experience, was certi:fied asa building inspector in the <br />State of Minnesota, and as such should be qualified to perform the <br />work necessary. The City Council briefly reviewed Mr. Adolphson's <br />resume' and COUNCILMAN OTTO MOVED TO ALLOW THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO HIRE <br />HER:B ADOLPHSON AS THE CITY'S :BUILDING INSPlOOTOR. COUNCILMANTOTH SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. MOTION PASSED 2-0. <br /> <br />15. City AdministratortsSalary <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN 0'1'1'0 MOVED TO ES'l'A:BLISH THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR t S SALARY <br />FOR 1979 AT $20,500.00. COUNCILMAN TOTII SlOOONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />PASSED 2-0. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />16,Pl&,.1ljing.Co~sji:!'I>:n . .ppointments <br /> <br />It was the concensus of the City Council to postpone Planning Commission <br />appointments until a full City Council was present. The City Administrator <br />indicated to the Council that there would be no chairman available since <br />Councilman Toth had resigned from the Planning Commission. The Council <br />asked that the City Administrator inform the Planning Commission that <br />appointment of the Planning Commission chariman would be considered by <br />the City Council at their next regular meeting, and as such the Planning <br />Commission should designate only(;l8. temporary chai.i'man. <br /> <br />17. Check Register <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN 0'1'1'0 MOVED APPROVAL OF THE C:HD.:K REGISTER. COUNCIlaAMN TOTH <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION PASSED 2-0. <br /> <br />18. Tentative Agenda. <br /> <br />Items acheduled for the February 5, 1979 meeting of the City Council are <br />as follows: Planning Commission appointments, consideration of gambling <br />ordinance, considera.tion. of Acting Mayor, consideration of closing of <br />Liquor Store #1. <br />
