That services in general within the city, remain at the same level as in <br />1978, with the exception of the street maintenance budget which should be <br />increased to make provisions for routine maintance that was not accomplished <br />in 1978, because of budget and fisical restraints. <br /> <br />3. Money. should be :tncluded in the 1979 budget to off set or match the $10,000.00 <br />planning grant that is to be received by the city in 1978. <br /> <br />;C-'-') <br /> <br />15. Check Register <br /> <br />A question was raised regarding the city rUg cleaning service and whether <br />or not that service is still utilized. The City Administrator indicated that he <br />would check the item and report. back to the counci1.MOTION MADE BY COUNCILMAN <br />DUITSMAN TO APPROVE THE CHECK REGISTER, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN. TOTH. MOTION <br />PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />16. Miscellaneous Discussion <br /> <br />A. People present in the audience questioned the city's policy regarding <br />trees and diseased tree removal. The. City Administrator explained the <br />contract that the city maintains with AI's Tree Service and the eligibility <br />for the subsidy and submitting a bill to the city would be 'eligible at this <br />time for a subsidy or reimbursement on. the tree program. <br /> <br />B. City Engineer, Lyle Swanson explained a problem that might develop in the <br />recently paved Meadowvale Forest Street system. Mr. Swanson explained that <br />the street does not have proper drainage and that it is possible that in <br />the winter time ice might develope on the county road abutting Meadowvale <br />Forest street. Mr. Swanson asked that a procedure be implemented requiring <br />inspections of all sub-di. vision roads after completion by the City Engineer. <br />The City Administrator indicated that such a procedure would be implemented <br />and followed in the 1'u:tJure. <br /> <br />MOTION TO ADJOURN BY COUNCILMAN ENGSTROM AND WAS SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN DUITSMAN. <br />MOTION PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 11:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />dC~ <br /> <br />Robert.
