Letter from School District Regarding Swimming Pool Operating Costs <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the City has received a letter from the <br />School District requesting a contribution to the School District in order to <br />assist in keeping the pool open for July and August of 1983. The City Ad- <br />ministrator further indicated that the School estimates a need of approximately <br />$'10.000. Councilman Schuldt indicated that he was under the impression the <br />City would provide help to the swimming pool operation when the public beach <br />was closed. Councilman Duitsman indicated that he was in favor of providing <br />some help to the School District for the operation of the swimming pool as <br />the City had made that committment when the public beach was closed. Council- <br />man Duitsman further indicated that an amount to be contributed could be budgeted <br />in the 1983 budget process. Councilman Duitsman further suggested that a recom- <br />mendation should come from the Recreation Board. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN DUITSMAN MOVED TO CONSIDER A CONTRIBUTION TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR <br />OPERATION OF THE SWIMMING POOL IN THE 1983 BUDGET. COUNCILMAN SCHULDT SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />D. Establish Meeting Date to Review Tentative Contract with Local Number 49 <br /> <br />June 14th, 1982, 7:30 p~m. at the Elk River City Hall was scheduled for the re- <br />view of the contract with the Local Number 49. <br /> <br />E. Audit Report and Liquor Inventory <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that he is preparing a letter of transmittal <br />to be included with the audit report and further indicated that the report is <br />complete and ready for review. The City Administrator further indicated that <br />the liquor store inventory as calculated on a monthly basis, is approximately <br />$195,000 and that a physical inventory is scheduled for the end of June. <br /> <br />Mr. Rick Breezee, the City's Building and Zoning Administrator, indicated that <br />Custom Motors had notified him that they are not able to obtain Engelman ivy for <br />their screening project at their location of business. Councilman Toth indicated <br />that he is aware of the fact that Engelman ivy is available at Ak-Sar-Ben's. Gen- <br />eral discussion was carried on regarding the cleanup of some trash behind the Legion <br />Club and the striping to be done on the street past the Post Office, as well as a <br />problem of water on Meadowvale Road. <br /> <br />19. Check Register <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE MAY 17TH, 1982 CHECK REGISTER. COUNCILMAN <br />DUITSMAN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />20. Tentative Agenda <br /> <br />The assessments for the Peterson Addition is tentatively scheduled for the June <br />7th, 1982 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />. <br />
