COUNCillLMAN TOTH SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />Councilman Toth indicated that he wanted to post-pone the authorization of <br />a salary study until he had obtained further information regarding salary <br />studies. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the City Council that the City Administrator secure <br />a proposal for a salary study from a consultant. <br /> <br />8~. Planning Commission Appointment <br /> <br />Councilman Toth ind:tcated that Estelle Gtinkel,.expressed an lnterest in s~rving <br />on the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN TOTHMOVED TO APPOINT ESTELLE GUNKEL TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR <br />A 3-YEAR TERM BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1982. COUNCILMAN ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MO- <br />TION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />9. Administrator's Update <br /> <br />A. Legislative Actions Regarding 1981 and 1982 State Aid <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that nothing at this point, has been decided <br />by the House or Senate regarding State Aid payments. <br /> <br />B. Interceptor Hookup Charge Assessment <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that Mr. ~()\Ii1.'di'flof SehQolview has expressed <br />his objections to the terms of the assessment of the hookup charge for a 5 <br />year period. It was the general consensus of the City Council to allow the <br />hookup charge to be assessed over a period of 5 years. <br /> <br />C. Authorization to Hire a Police Officer <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN TOTH MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE HIRING OF ONE ADDITIONAL POLICE OF- <br />FICER. COUNCILMAN SCHULDT SECONDED. THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />D. Old Highway 101 Bridge Replacement <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the notice for the opportunity of a <br />public hearing had been published regarding the 101 bridge. The City Ad- <br />ministrator explained that Wright County chose to use the option of publish- <br />ing a notice of opportunity of a public hearing rather than holding a public <br />hearing as an official public hearing would require a transcript of the hear- <br />ing. The City Administrator further indicated that ;'11& Wright County engineer <br />has indicated that the Federal and State funding is still planned for in the <br />financing of the 101 bridge. <br />
