The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Hinkle. <br /> <br />2. AGENDA <br /> <br />Item #9~. Sewer Interceptor water problem and Item #10~. Dutch Elm Trees, were <br />added to the September 21, 1981 City Council Agenda. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN ENGSTOM MOVED TO APPROVE THE SEPTEMBER 21, 1981 AGENDA AS AMENDED. <br />COUNCILMAN DUITSMAN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES <br /> <br />Councilman Duitsman requested that the motion to adopt Resolution 81-41 include <br />the dollar figure of $31,000. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN DUITSMAN MOVED TO STRIKE THE LAST PARAGRAPH OF ITEM 9; INDUSTRIAL <br />PARK IMPROVEMENT - PUBLIC HEARING. COUNCILMAN TOTH SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN DUITSMAN MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 8, 1981, CITY <br />COUNCIL MEETING AS AMENDED. COUNCILMAN ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />4. OPEN MIKE <br /> <br />No one appeared for this item. <br /> <br />5. BECK SUBDIVISION PRELIMINARY PLAT <br /> <br />Mr. Joe Bailey, developer of the Beck Subdivision, and Mr. Jim Klein from John <br />Oliver and Associates, were present to discuss the preliminary plat with the <br />City Council. <br /> <br />Councilman Toth questioned the need of a service road along the subdivision <br />between Xenia and Upland Avenue. <br /> <br />The Building and Zoning Department Official indicated that the City had contacted <br />the Department of Transportation to determine if they had future plans for <br />developing a service road along the highway and the proposed plat, and further <br />indicated that the Department of Transportation had informed the City that they <br />had no immediate or future plans to build a service road and would not part- <br />icipate in the funding of a service road in that area. <br /> <br />General discussion was carried on between the City Council, Mr. Jim Klein, Mr. <br />Joe Bailey and the City Building Official regarding the need of a service road <br />and the funding of the road if it were required or requested in the future. <br />
