Farmer's Home Administration Graritfor the Sanitary Sewer Interceptor <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the Farmer's Home Administration has <br />informed the City that grant and loan funds are unavailable for fiscal year <br />1981 for the sewer interceptor project. The City Administrator indicated <br />that the City could sell bonds and proceed with the project or wait until <br />grants or loans may become available. COUNCILMAN DUITSMAN MOVED TO APPROVE <br />RESOLUTION 81-13 ESTABLISHING THE DATE OF APRIL 27, 1981 FOR A PUBLIC HEARING <br />FOR THE SEWER INTERCEPTOR PROJECT. COUNCILMAN TOTH SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />B. Date for Personnel Committee Meeting Regarding Building and Zoning Administrator <br />Position <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that fifty-five applications had been received <br />for the Building and Zoning Administrator position and further indicated that <br />a number of interviews were held and that he was prepared to make a recommenda- <br />tion tnthe Personnel Committee. The Personnel Committee meeting was set for <br />April 8, 1981. The City .Administratorfurther indicated that during the interm, <br />arrangements had been made with the building inspector from Ramsey, Mr. Clayton <br />Berg, to make inspections and review plans for the City of Elk River at an <br />hourly rate of $15.00 per hour plus 30~ a mile for mileage. <br /> <br />C. Parking Changes at the Riverside Bar and Lounge and the Police Station <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the Street Department had placed parking <br />signs reserving nine spaces for the Police Department and would do some striping <br />for angle parking in order to provid~ more spaces available to the Riverside <br />Bar and Lounge. <br /> <br />D. Sale of Property o~ Highway #169 <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the Assembly of God Church has approached <br />the City to purchase the land on Highway #169 to build a church and school. <br />It was the general concensus of the City Council not to sell the five acre <br />parcel on Highway #169. <br /> <br />12. Check Register <br /> <br />Mayor Hinkle asked that check #25387 and #25388 issued for expenses of the Library <br />be added to the Check Register. The City Administrator requested check #25318 be <br />removed from the Check Register. COUNCILMAN DUITSMAN MOVED APPROVAL OF THE CHECK <br />REGISTER AS AMENDED. COUNCILMAN ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED <br />4-0. <br /> <br />13. Tentative Agenda <br /> <br />Gopher Bounty, the Barrington Place Plans and Specifications, and the Building <br />and Zoning Administrator are tentatively scheduled for the April 20, 1981 City <br />Council meeting. <br />
