The Water Plan recommended construction <br /> • of a 1 , 000 , 000-gallon reservoir to eliminate this deficiency . <br /> The recommended Water Tower and related Watermain Improvements <br /> were completed in 1986 . Approximately one acre of land was <br /> accuired for the Water Tower, and permanent easements were <br /> accuired for watermain purposes . There was no displacement of <br /> or relocation required by any persons or businesses as a result <br /> of these accuisitions . <br /> 2 . Proposed Water System Improvements <br /> It is proposed to extend water service to the western <br /> portion of the City to encourage appropriate commercial and <br /> industrial development in this area of the City . Water System <br /> Improvements would include a new deep well, a new elevated <br /> • tower, a pumphouse with chemical addition and treatment <br /> equipment, and trunk distribution lines . A site for the well , <br /> tower, and pumphouse has not been identified at this time . The <br /> proposed location of the trunk distribution lines is shown on <br /> Exhibit B to this Development Program. <br /> Construction of the proposed Water System Improvements will <br /> require the acquisition of a small amount of property for the <br /> well , tower, and pumphouse; and easements for water <br /> distribution lines . It is not anticipated that there will be <br /> any displacement of or relocation required by any persons or <br /> businesses as a result of these acquisitions . <br /> 3 . Proposed Sanitary Sewer System Improvements <br /> It is also proposed to extend sanitary sewer service to the <br /> western portion of the City, to encourage appropriate <br /> commercial *and industrial development in this area of the City . <br /> 5 . <br />
