The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Hinkle. <br /> <br />2 . Agenda <br /> <br />Item 9 - stop sign at Tyler Street and Twin Lakes Road, and additional miscellaneous <br />items regarding other stop signs, 10d - Lawcon Grant, 103 - sanitary sewer line <br />5th Street update, and 10f - meeting schedule, were items added to the October 1, <br />1984 City Council agenda. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE OCTOBER 1, 1984 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br />AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />3. Minutes <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 6, 1984 CITY <br />COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED <br />4-0. <br /> <br />Councilmember Gunkel requested that Item 10 of the September 17, 1984 City Council <br />minutes specifically refer to the north approximate 1/3 of P~rcel D in the approval <br />of the housing plan as submitted by Barthel developers. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 17, 1984 CITY <br />COUNCIL MEETING AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER DUITSMAN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />4. Open Mike <br /> <br />No one appeared for this item. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Lundberg Sewer Connection Fee Request <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that Mr. Cliff Lundberg has objected to the <br />sewer hookup fee charge to his new building on the corner of 4th Street and Jack- <br />son Avenue. The City Administrator indicated that the hookup fee charged is based <br />on 2,281 square feet per floor with 1 unit assigned for each 1,000 square feet. <br />The City Administrator further indicated that the charge would be 2.28 units times <br />$625 per unit for a total of $1,425.00. The City Administrator further indicated <br />that the original sewer hookup fee for the building that was burned down was <br />$125.00, therefore, crediting $125.00 against the $1,425 for a net fee of $1,300 <br />being charged to Mr. Lundberg's building. The City Administrator indicated that <br />Mr. Lundberg is objecting to the fee, as he believes that he has not increased the <br />usage with the new building. The City Administrator further indicated that he has <br />met with Mr. Lundberg, and Mr. Lundberg has indicated that he would do some additional <br />curb, gutter and sidewalk work along 4th Street and Jackson Avenue in lieu of the <br />
