<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />City Council Minutes <br />June 25, 1984 <br />Page Three <br /> <br />---, <br /> <br />Cotincilmember Duitsman indicated that a 30/70% split for assessments, with 30% <br />assumed by the City was discussed by the Council and indicated that 30% was the <br />most which Ridgewood Estates residents could expect the City to assume. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schuldt indicated that there may be greater need for other roads <br />to be addressed by the City Council before the Ridgewood Estates roads. <br /> <br />Mr. Pellicciotti and Mr. Zappa indicated that dollars spent now would save dollars <br />in the future and that they were very concerned that something be done immediately. <br /> <br />Mayor Hinkle indicated that the City should look to the 1984 budget to see what <br />had been planned and to have the City take a look and doing the roads as soon as <br />possible inasmuch as the residents had petitioned for the work. <br /> <br />No action was taken on the item but further information was to be developed for <br />the Monday, July 2nd City Council meeting. <br /> <br />7. Barthel Planned Unit Development <br /> <br />No discussion on this item took place as Mr. Barthel was unable to be present <br />for the meeting. <br /> <br />8. Provision of Consulting Engineering Services for Houlton Property Development <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED TO APPROVE THE CITY'S PROVISION OF CONSULTING <br />ENGINEERS DIVERSIFIED'S SERVICES AT THE CITY'S COST TO BUD HOULTON FOR DEVELOP- <br />MENT HE WAS ANTICIPATING ON JACKSON AVENUE. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0.. <br /> <br />9. Establishment of Lead Worker Classification in Street Department <br /> <br />The Street Superintendent, Mr. Phil Hals, explained his desire to have a lead <br />worker classification in the City's Street Department. Mr. Hals explained that <br />the position would pay an additional 50~ per hour and that the person designated <br />to be lead worker would have certain supervisory responsibilities primarily in <br />the summertime. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED TO APPROVE THE LEAD WORKER CONCEPT AS DESCRIBED <br />BY STREET SUPERINTENDENT PHIL HALS. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />9~. Discussion Items <br /> <br />A. A meeting date for municipal facilities review was established for July 12th. <br /> <br />B. A Capital Improvement Program meeting was established for July 17th. <br /> <br />C. Planning Commission - Holding Public Hearings <br /> <br />The Council was brought up to date on the status of the ordinance adoption. <br />
