Employee Health Insurance Renewal <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the City has received its renewal rates <br />for the health plan currently utilized by all City employees. The City Adminis- <br />trator indicated that the current carrier, HMO Minnesota, has proposed a rate <br />increase of 10.2 percent. The City Administrator indicated that the City's <br />employ~es have been satisfied with the HMO Minnesota plan and request continued <br />coverage under HMO Minnesota. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE HMO MINNESOTA HEALTH INS URAtirC IS CONTRACT <br />EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1984. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />11. Administrator's Update <br /> <br />A. League of Minnesota Cities Conference <br /> <br />Discussion of the League Conference was postponed until the next City Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />B. East Main Street Improvement Project <br /> <br />This item was discussed as Item 4~ - The East Main Street project. <br /> <br />C. Barthel Planned Unit Development <br /> <br />Councilmember Gunkel indicated that at a tax increment workshop at the <br />Duluth Conference, it was recommended that there be a time limit in which <br />developers must respond to the City with regard to taxing and financing. <br />Councilmember Gunkel requested that the City Administrator contact the <br />developers of the Barthel planned unit development regarding their time <br />schedule. The City Administrator indicated that the time table as discussed <br />in the tax increment financing workshop was' relative to actual construction <br />and the developers construction time schedule. It was the consensus of the <br />City Council that the City Council meet with the developers of the Barthel <br />planned unit development at their next City Council meeting to discuss the <br />time sche~ule of the development. <br /> <br />D. Audit Report <br /> <br />Councilmember Gunkel requested that the City auditors meet with the City <br />Council to discuss the City's audit report. <br /> <br />E. Prairie House Restaurant <br /> <br />Councilmember Gunkel indicated that she was aware of a public hearing <br />scheduled for the Prairie House restaurant. The City Administrator indicated <br />that the public hearing is scheduled for an administrative subdivision <br />for the construction of the Prairie House Restaurant. <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that at the First National Bank community <br />room. June 27th at 2:00 p.m., MnlDot would be meeting with the retailers <br />regarding the detour plans for the Highway #10 project. <br /> <br />
