Set Up License for the Elk River Country Club <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED TO APPROVE A SET UP LICENSE FOR THE ELK RIVER <br />COUNTRY CLUB. COUNCILMEMBER DUITSMAN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />12 3/4. Ridgewood Association Roads <br /> <br />Councilmember Duitsman indicated that the members of the Ridgewood Association <br />want to meet with the City Council on June 25 to discuss the roads in their <br />development and how they may be improved and paid for. <br /> <br />It was the consensus that the City Council would meet with members of the <br />Ridgewood Association at the June 25 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />13. Administrator's Update <br /> <br />A. Ground Cover <br /> <br />Discussion was carried on regarding the ground cover and cleanup of the <br />property along Highway #10 between UPA and the City property. Mayor <br />Hinkle indicated that Mr.~Mag(Johnson, member of the Beautification <br />Committee, indicated that he cannot get someone to clean up the dead <br />brush and trees along that portion of the highway. Mayor Hinkle further <br />indicated that Mn/Dot indicated that the City could clean up "the area <br />without causing any type of soil erosion. It was the consensus that <br />the City staff will organize some individuals to clean up the bank along <br />Highway 1110. <br /> <br />B. Proctor Avenue and Highway #10 Signal <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the County has indicated their <br />intent to participate in the Highway #10 and Proctor Avenue signal light <br />and that the Minnesota Department of Transportation will continue in <br />the process of authorizing installation of a signal light. <br /> <br />C. Gates Avenue Improvement <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the Gates Avenue improvement project <br />is virtually done and that speed signs would be placed along Gates Avenue. <br />Discussion was carried on regarding the naming of the street in the <br />planned unit development. Councilmember Gunkel suggested the name Monarch <br />Lane. Councilmember Schuldt indicated that there was a street south of <br />Main Str~et named Freeport which is between Evans and Gates and further <br />indicate: that the street in the planned unit development would line up <br />with Fre port, .therefore, it was his suggestion that the street be named <br />Freeport Avenue. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE NAMING OF THE STREET THROUGH <br />THE PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT AS FREEPORT AVENUE. COUNCILMEMBER DUITSMAN <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br />
