COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />7. Barrington Place Replat - Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Hinkle indicated that this item is a joint meeting between the <br />Planning Commission and the City Council to consider a replatting of a <br />certain portion of Barrington Place. Mayor Hinkle indicated that the <br />replatting is basically a formality as the concept and original layout <br />waspreviously approved by the Planning Commission and the City Council. <br />Mayor Hinkle opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Mr. Gary Santwire introduced Mr . Lynn McLaughlin andMr . Lyle McGloughin <br />as M & S Developers, the current owners of the townhome lots in Barrington <br />Place. Mr. Santwire indicated that Lot 36 in Block 3is not included <br />in the replatting and further indicated that the replatting involves <br />Lots 1 - 8 boundaries. <br /> <br />Mr. Larry Toth questioned the issuance of a building permit without a plat. <br /> <br />Mr. Gary Santwire indicated that the density has already been approved <br />and the replatting just involves the changing of the boundary lines of <br />the eight-unit building so as to allow the owners to build condominium <br />units. <br /> <br />Mayor Hinkle indicated that the replatting process was to alJow the <br />builders to sell the units in a different manner and that the replatting <br />just allowed for a different type of ownership. <br /> <br />Discussion was carried on regarding the misunderstanding by people that <br />were notified of the public hearing with regard to the density allowed <br />for the area. General discussion was carried on regarding the process <br />necessary for replatting to allow for a different type of ownership. <br /> <br />Mr. John Pearce, Acting Chairman of the Planning Commission, indicated that <br />the Planning Commission does not have a problem with the plat as proposed. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER TRALLE MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE REPLAT OF LOTS <br />1-8 BLOCK 3, BARRINGTON PLACE ,TO THE CITY COUNCIL. COMMISSIONER HARTMAN <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. COMMISSIONERS TRALLE , PEARCE, HARTMAN AND WILLE <br />VOTED IN FAVOR OF THE MOTION. NO ONE VOTED AGAINST. <br /> <br />Mr. Lynn McLaughlin, developer for the townhomes in Barrington Place, <br />indicated that as they developed the project and find the needs of the <br />community, they may have to consider replatting of other parcel to <br />satisfy those needs. <br /> <br />Mr. Lyle McGlaughlin indicatedthay they will do their best to communicate <br />to the City Council the communities needs with regard to the Barrington <br />Place project. <br />
