Capital Improvement Meeting <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that a capital improvement program meeting <br />has been scheduled for Tuesday night, May 8, 1984. <br /> <br />E. Gates Avenue Improvement Project <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that restoration is bei~g completed and the <br />paving of Gates Avenue is scheduled. The City Administrator further indicated <br />that the City's engineer would be meeting with Mr. Norm Kastendick regarding <br />the easement for the Main Street Project. <br /> <br />G. <br /> <br />Menkveldt Lawsuit <br /> <br />Mr. Rick Breezee indicated that the City's attorney requested that he make <br />an inspection of the Menkveldt property. Mr. Breezee indicated that the <br />cleanup of the property is not even close to what it should be and therefore, <br />Mr. Menkveldt is in violation of his probation. Mr. Breezee further indicated <br />that there are signs of another junkyard developing on the other side of <br />Highway #10. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the City Council that the City Council would <br />support Mr. Rick Breezee in whatever was necessary to process the <br />violation. <br /> <br />H. <br /> <br />Liquor Store <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the City has received approximately <br />64 applications for the liquor store manager position. The City Admin- <br />istrator indicated that he would get the necessary background on the number <br />of applicants the City Council was interested in reviewing and interviewing. <br />It was the consensus of the City Council that the City Administrator should <br />recommend 10 applications for the Council to review, with 3 recommendations for <br />interviewing. <br /> <br />18. Check Register <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE MAY 7, 1984 CHECK REGISTER. COUNCIL- <br />MEMBER DUITSMAN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />19. Tentative Agenda <br /> <br />The public hearing for the Main Street project is tentatively scheduled for the <br />May l4t.h City Council meeting. <br /> <br />
