Mayor Hinkle indicated that the <br />purchase of this equipment was proposed to be paid for through the issuance <br />of temporary certificates of indebtedness to be paid off within a five year <br />period. <br /> <br />Discussion was carried on regarding the type of equipment as proposed by the <br />City's Street Superintendent in a memo to the Mayor and City Council dated <br />April 13, 1984. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF A ONE TON PICK-UP TRUCK, <br />A HALF TON PICK-UP TRUCK AND A HYDRAULIC JACKHAMMER TO BE PAID FOR BY THE <br />ISSUANCE OF TEMPORARY CERTIFICATES OF INDEBTEDNESS. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />17. Replacement of Liquor Store Cooler Doors and Shelving <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that three quotes were received for the re- <br />placement of the liquor store cooler doors and shelving units within the <br />cooler. The City Administrator further indicated that the quotations ranged <br />from $8,785 to $11,406. The City Administrator indicated that the acting <br />Liquor Store Manager, Mike Donais, has reviewed each of the quotations and <br />determined that the equipment quoted by AA Equipment in the amount of $8,785 is <br />adequate for the Liquor Store needs. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED TO. AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF LIQUOR STORE COOLER <br />DOORS AND SHELVING UNITS FROM AA EQUIPMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,785. COUNCIL- <br />MEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />18. Administrator's Update <br /> <br />A. Attendance at the Minnesota Public Works Spring Conference <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that Mr. Phil Hals, the Street Super- <br />intendent has requested permission to attend the annual spring Minnesota <br />Public Works Conference in Brainerd. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO AUTHORIZE MR. PHIL HALS, THE CITY STREET <br />SUPERINTENDENT TO ATTEND THE MINNESTOA PUSLIC WORKS CONFERENCE. COUNCIL- <br />MEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />B. Attendance at the Minnesota City Manager's Spring Conference <br /> <br />The City Administrator requested authorization to attend the Annual <br />Spring City Manager's Conference at Cragun's Resort in Brainerd. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO ATTEND <br />THE CITY MANAGER'S SPRING CONFERENCE IN BRAINERD ON MAY 9,10, AND 11, <br />1984. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION THE MOTION PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />C. Recreation Board Meeting <br /> <br />Councilmember Schuldt and the City Administrator reviewed a meeting held <br />by the Recreation Board Members and various othe members of the community <br />regarding the recreation programs within the Cit of Elk River.
