Use of Masonic Lodge B~ilding <br /> <br />General disc~ssion was carried on regarding the ~se of the Masonic Lodge b~ilding. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO INFORM THE <br />MASONIC LODGE THAT ANY EXPANSION OF A BUSINESS OR ADDITIONAL BUSINESSES WOULD <br />REQUIRE A VARIANCE APPROVAL. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />8. Administrators Update <br /> <br />A. Union Contract <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that he had met with the Teamsters Union <br />Representatives regarding the Police Contract, and f~rther indicated that <br />it appears the Union negotiations are close to settlement. The City Admin- <br />istrator reviewed the City's position on the Union Contract, and Indicated <br />that the ~nion is considering the proposal. <br /> <br />B. Mayor Hinkle indicated that he is happy with the work done in the City by <br />the employees, their cooperation, and their ability to get the work <br />accomplished. <br /> <br />General disc~ssion was carried on regarding a means of expressing the <br />appreciation of a job well done. <br /> <br />C. P~blic Hearing Storm Water Improvement <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the City Co~ncil sho~ld anticipate a <br />large crowd at the November 21st public hearing for the storm sewer assessment. <br />The City Administrator indicated that Mr. Jeff Roos of Consulting Engineers <br />Diversified" will be present to give the history and the background of the <br />storm sewer project. The City Administrator indicated that the City Council <br />should deal with the storm sewer project assessment hearing first and then <br />consider the street construction assessment hearing. <br /> <br />9. Adjournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED THAT THE MEETING <br />BE ADJOURNED. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION.
