COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 85-58 A <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY STUDY AND CALLING FOR <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ON <br />MAIN STREET AND ORONO ROAD (IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 1985-5). <br />COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />6 Conside~ation__of_Eeasihilitx_Studx_Eo~_Sanita~x_Sewe~_and <br />Wate~__Main__lme~o~ements__in_Westwood_Suhdi~ision~_Lund9~en <br />~omes_Ei~st_Qddition_and_ls1and_V.iew_Ihi~d_Qdditon <br /> <br />Terry Maurer. the City Engineer. introduced the Feasibility <br />Study for Westwood Subdivision. Lundgren Homes First <br />Addition and Island View Third Addition. He stated that the <br />project would consist of sanitary sewer and water main <br />extent ions to these areas. He further stated that the <br />estimated total cost of the project is $664.900. Terry <br />Maurer stated that the santary sewer improvement would <br />involve the construction of an 8 inch connecton system for <br />sanitary sewer with service to each home. He further stated <br />there would be a need for a small lift station. Terry Maurer <br />then noted that the water main is six inches in diameter <br />providing service to each home or buildable lot. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schuldt ~uestioned Mr. Maurer as to whether it <br />would be necessary to put water in at the same time as <br />sewer. Councilmember Schuldt further stated that the residents <br />in the area had brought this ~uestion up. The City <br />Engineer stated that it depends on how the people feel about <br />putting water in and also what condition the existing wells <br />are in at the present time. <br /> <br />Councilmember Gunkel ~uestioned whether the balance of the <br />MSA Discretionary fund could be used for this type of <br />F'r'o~iect. Councilmember' Gun~:el fur.ther' stated that she would <br />like the MSA funds discussed and would like to see the City <br />Council come UP with some type of policy on this. <br />
