COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 85-57 A RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS ON MAIN STREET AND ORONO ROAD (IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 85-5). COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 85-58 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY STUDY AND CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ON MAIN STREET AND ORONO ROAD (IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 1985-5). COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. Lundgren Homes First Addition and Island View Third Addition. He stated that the project would consist of sanitary sewer and water main extent ions to these areas. He further stated that the estimated total cost of the project is $664.900. Terry Maurer stated that the santary sewer improvement would involve the construction of an 8 inch connecton system for sanitary sewer with service to each home. He further stated there would be a need for a small lift station. Terry Maurer then noted that the water main is six inches in diameter providing service to each home or buildable lot. Councilmember Schuldt ~uestioned Mr. Maurer as to whether it would be necessary to put water in at the same time as sewer. Councilmember Schuldt further stated that the residents in the area had brought this ~uestion up. The City Engineer stated that it depends on how the people feel about putting water in and also what condition the existing wells are in at the present time. Councilmember Gunkel ~uestioned whether the balance of the MSA Discretionary fund could be used for this type of F'r'o~iect. Councilmember' Gun~:el fur.ther' stated that she would like the MSA funds discussed and would like to see the City Council come UP with some type of policy on this.
