He stated that the pu~chase p~ice o~ the loade~ would be $69.442 with a t~ade in fo~ thei~ 1983 Cat 930 at $58.373. leaving a pu~chase p~ice of $11.179. The St~eet Supe~intendent noted that he was happy with the Cat 930. and stated that it was in no way inse~viceable. but felt he thought it made sense economically to t~ade fo~ a new machine which would give them mo~e ve~satilitv and one mo~e snow ~emoval machine to put on the st~eets. MaYo~ Hinkle noted that he was not in favo~ of the t~ade. He stated he felt the St~eet Depa~tment could get along with what they had. Councilmembe~ Gunkel noted that the City would be looking at additional development going on which would c~eate additional staff wo~k. and felt the new machine would be an added asset. Councilmembe~ Williams stated he would gO along with the change. He felt the City would be getting equipment that would save much time. and fu~the~ wouldc~eate much safer wo~king conditions with the quick hook UP attachment. COUNCILMEMBER WILLIAMS MOVED TO TABLE THE ITEM FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS UNTIL SUCH TIME THAT PHIL HALS CAN GET MORE INFORMATION ON THE MATTER. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. 16. eenial_Gacage_S2a~e_fQc_eubli~_Wocks_E9ui2meni_Siocage The City Administ~ato~ indicated that the Street Supe~intendent had found some possible ~entalsites for garage space for public works equipment. the City Administrator furthe~ stated that he felt the problem with the facilities at the p~esent time is that there is no place for the street department equipment. Site #1. Cedar Log Homes Building and Site #2. Insti-tops building were both discussed as possible public works ~ental space. The St~eet Superintendent stated he felt site #2 would be the bette~ of the two sites. He noted that the building has two la~ge ove~head doors, the~e is 3+ ac~es of land which includes a paved lot which could be used fo~ the sand stock pile. He stated the building was 50' bv 120'. and the~e was office space. bath~ooms and elect~ical hook uP.
