He stated that the pu~chase <br />p~ice o~ the loade~ would be $69.442 with a t~ade in fo~ <br />thei~ 1983 Cat 930 at $58.373. leaving a pu~chase p~ice of <br />$11.179. The St~eet Supe~intendent noted that he was happy <br />with the Cat 930. and stated that it was in no way <br />inse~viceable. but felt he thought it made sense <br />economically to t~ade fo~ a new machine which would give <br />them mo~e ve~satilitv and one mo~e snow ~emoval machine to <br />put on the st~eets. <br /> <br />MaYo~ Hinkle noted that he was not in favo~ of the t~ade. <br />He stated he felt the St~eet Depa~tment could get along with <br />what they had. <br /> <br />Councilmembe~ Gunkel noted that the City would be looking at <br />additional development going on which would c~eate <br />additional staff wo~k. and felt the new machine would be an <br />added asset. <br /> <br />Councilmembe~ Williams stated he would gO along with the <br />change. He felt the City would be getting equipment that <br />would save much time. and fu~the~ wouldc~eate much safer <br />wo~king conditions with the quick hook UP attachment. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER WILLIAMS MOVED TO TABLE THE ITEM FOR <br />APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS UNTIL SUCH TIME THAT PHIL HALS CAN <br />GET MORE INFORMATION ON THE MATTER. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />16. eenial_Gacage_S2a~e_fQc_eubli~_Wocks_E9ui2meni_Siocage <br /> <br /> <br />The City Administ~ato~ indicated that the Street <br />Supe~intendent had found some possible ~entalsites for <br />garage space for public works equipment. the City <br />Administrator furthe~ stated that he felt the problem with <br />the facilities at the p~esent time is that there is no place <br />for the street department equipment. Site #1. Cedar Log <br />Homes Building and Site #2. Insti-tops building were both <br />discussed as possible public works ~ental space. <br /> <br />The St~eet Superintendent stated he felt site #2 would be <br />the bette~ of the two sites. He noted that the building has <br />two la~ge ove~head doors, the~e is 3+ ac~es of land which <br />includes a paved lot which could be used fo~ the sand stock <br />pile. He stated the building was 50' bv 120'. and the~e was <br />office space. bath~ooms and elect~ical hook uP. <br /> <br />
