Memo to Planning Commission/GP 99-7 <br /> June 22, 1999 <br /> Page 3 <br /> • AN EASEMENT EXCHANGE WITH THE COUNTRY CLUB WHICH WOULD ALLOW THE <br /> COUNTRY CLUB TO USE THE PARK ENTRANCE TO ACCESS THEIR PROPOSED <br /> MAINTENANCE FACILITY,IN EXCHANGE FOR ALLOWING CROSS COUNTRY SKIERS TO <br /> CONTINUE TO SKI ON A PORTION OF COUNTRY CLUB PROPERTY,TO BE DEFINED BY <br /> LEGAL DESCRIPTION. <br /> Furthermore, the Commission moved to: <br /> TO ACCEPT THE ROAD CONCEPT FOR ACCESS TO THE MAINTENANCE BUILDING AS <br /> PROPOSED BY STAFF,CONTINGENT UPON FIELD VERIFICATION. <br /> The Park and Recreation Commission will be visiting the Golf Course site to <br /> verify the best location for a service driveway off the park entrance drive and <br /> will recommend adjusting the easements to fit accordingly. <br /> Recommendation <br /> Staff recommend that the Planning Commission recommend approval of Elk <br /> River Country Clubs request for: <br /> A) A LAND EXCHANGE OF 1.2 ACRES OF PARK LAND FOR 2.82 ACRES OF COUNTRY <br /> CLUB LAND AND, <br /> IIIB) AN EASEMENT EXCHANGE WITH THE COUNTRY CLUB WHICH WOULD ALLOW <br /> THE COUNTRY CLUB TO USE THE PARK ENTRANCE TO ACCESS THEIR <br /> PROPOSED MAINTENANCE FACILITY AND TO USE THE EXISTING DRIVING <br /> RANGE, IN EXCHANGE FOR ALLOWING CROSS COUNTRY SKIERS TO <br /> CONTINUE TO SKI ON A PORTION OF COUNTRY CLUB PROPERTY, TO BE <br /> DEFINED BY LEGAL DESCRIPTION AND SUBJECT TO FIELD VERIFICATION OF <br /> THE LOCATION OF AN ACCESS ROAD TO THE PROPOSED MAINTENANCE <br /> BUILDING BY THE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION. <br /> • <br /> \\elkriver\sys\shrdoc\planning\stevewen\pcmmo\gp99-7.doc <br />
