Signature Authorization for City Administrator <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE SIGNATURE OF CITY ADMINISTRATOR TOM BUBLITZ <br />TO BE ACCEPTED AS THE OFFICIAL SECOND SIGNATURE REQUIRED FOR ALL CITY CHECKS AND DOCU- <br />MENTS. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4~0. <br /> <br />Discussion was carried on regarding problems with private septic systems in the Simonet <br />Drive area near Lake Orono. It was the consensus of the City Council to request the <br />City Engineer to estimate a cost for a feasibility study for the Simonet Drive area for <br />sanitary sewer service. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED TO APPOINT TOM BUBLITZ AS OFFICIAL ACTING CITY CLERK. <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />12. Administrator Update <br /> <br />A. Comparable Worth Study <br /> <br />Administrator Bublitz indicated that the questionaire for the Joint Comparable <br />Worth Study will be forthcoming in July and that he recommends that the question- <br />aire be completed by all full time personnel and permanent part-time personnel with <br />the exception of the part-time liquor clerks. Administrator Bublitz further in- <br />dicated that the reason for this is so that as much information as possible is <br />submitted in order to provide an accurate description of duties for each specific <br />job. He further indicated that a time spent profile will be sent back for each <br />employee completing the questionaire. <br /> <br />B. Bridge Opening <br /> <br />Administrator Bublitz indicated that the official opening of the CSAH #42 Bridge <br />is now set for the week of July 8th. <br /> <br />C. Special Election <br /> <br />Discussion was carried on regarding the upcoming special election and the community <br />festival as a means of making residents aware of the election. <br /> <br />D.. Disdussion was carried on regarding the present office staff positions. Debbie <br />Kleckner, Administrative Assistant, informed Administrator Bublitz and the City <br />Council that her husband had just accepted a job in Waco, Texas and, therefore, <br />an additional vacancy would be created. <br /> <br />Administrator Bublitz stated that he would meet with Debbie Kleckner to discuss <br />the past history of the office staff organization to develop a plan and would make <br />a recommendation to the City Council as soon as possible. <br />
