City Council Minutes June 3, 1985 Page Six IT WAS THE CONSENSUS OF THE CITY COUNCIL THAT A BUDGET FOR STAR CITIES EXPENDITURES BE ESTABLISHED FOR 1986. ll~. Signature Authorization for City Administrator COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE SIGNATURE OF CITY ADMINISTRATOR TOM BUBLITZ TO BE ACCEPTED AS THE OFFICIAL SECOND SIGNATURE REQUIRED FOR ALL CITY CHECKS AND DOCU- MENTS. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4~0. Discussion was carried on regarding problems with private septic systems in the Simonet Drive area near Lake Orono. It was the consensus of the City Council to request the City Engineer to estimate a cost for a feasibility study for the Simonet Drive area for sanitary sewer service. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED TO APPOINT TOM BUBLITZ AS OFFICIAL ACTING CITY CLERK. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. 12. Administrator Update A. Comparable Worth Study Administrator Bublitz indicated that the questionaire for the Joint Comparable Worth Study will be forthcoming in July and that he recommends that the question- aire be completed by all full time personnel and permanent part-time personnel with the exception of the part-time liquor clerks. Administrator Bublitz further in- dicated that the reason for this is so that as much information as possible is submitted in order to provide an accurate description of duties for each specific job. He further indicated that a time spent profile will be sent back for each employee completing the questionaire. B. Bridge Opening Administrator Bublitz indicated that the official opening of the CSAH #42 Bridge is now set for the week of July 8th. C. Special Election Discussion was carried on regarding the upcoming special election and the community festival as a means of making residents aware of the election. D.. Disdussion was carried on regarding the present office staff positions. Debbie Kleckner, Administrative Assistant, informed Administrator Bublitz and the City Council that her husband had just accepted a job in Waco, Texas and, therefore, an additional vacancy would be created. Administrator Bublitz stated that he would meet with Debbie Kleckner to discuss the past history of the office staff organization to develop a plan and would make a recommendation to the City Council as soon as possible.
