Mayor's Letter as Introduction for the Star City's Book <br /> <br />Mayor Hinkle requested the City Council to review his letter to be placed <br />in the Star City's Book for publication. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the City Council to proceed with the printing of <br />the Star City Book. <br /> <br />C. Gravel Tax Bill <br /> <br />Mayor Hinkle indicated that the law firm of Larkin, Hoffman, Daly, Lindgren <br />has requested the City to consider lobbying for the gravel tax at the State <br />Legislature. <br /> <br />General discussion was carried on regarding the cost of the lobbying fees in <br />the 1984 legislature. <br /> <br />Mayor Hinkle indicated that even though the City has requested that Sherburne <br />County participate in those 1984 lobbying fees, it was his opinion that the <br />County would not reimburse the City. Therefore, it was his suggestion that <br />the County pay lobbying fees in 1985. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the City Council that Sherburne County pursue the <br />services of the Larkin, Hoffman Law Firm in lobbying for the gravel tax in <br />the 1985 legislature. <br /> <br />D. City Clerk Applications <br /> <br />General discussion was carried on regarding the city clerk applications. <br />It was the consensus of the City Council that the City advertise in the <br />local newspapers and the Minneapolis Star and Tribune. <br /> <br />E. School Board Meeting <br /> <br />Mayor Hinkle indicated that a school board meeting was scheduled for March 26, <br />at 7:15 p.m. to review the tax increment financing plan. <br /> <br />F. Cliff Lundberg Computer Bill <br /> <br />Mayor Hinkle indicated that he had discussed the submitted computer bill from <br />Mr. Cliff Lundberg with John Pearce, and further indicated that Mr. Pearce <br />felt that the bill was in order with the work performed. <br /> <br />General discussion was carried on regarding the fees charged for computer time. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE PAYMENT OF THE CLIFF LUNDBERG <br />COMPUTER BILL. COUNCILMEMBER WILLIAMS SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 2-1. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT OPPOSED. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE INVESTIGATION OF THE POSSIBILITY <br />OF OBTAINING THE CURRENT INFORMATION ON MR. CLIFF LUNDBERG'S COMPUTER TO BE <br />
