Page 5 City Council Minutes December 8, 1986 e Councilmember Tralle stated that he would like to see a policy established to avoid the flagrant problems and to give the Council a framework to work within, yet allow for flexibility. The following issues were discussed: 1) Allowing daycare for 10 or fewer children in any zone except industrial. 2) Allowing daycare for more than 10 children in single family residential zones with a conditional use in existing public buildings. 3) Allowing daycare residential zones and square footage. for more than 10 children in multiple family with a conditional use, limiting minimum setbacks It was the consensus other fast developing daycare facilities. that staff be directed to obtain information from communities such as Plymouth and Maple Grove on 11. Traffic Control Recommendations on Gates Avenue It was the consensus to authorize the Police Chief and Street Superintendent to implement the recommendatons as proposed in the memo to the Mayor and City Council dated November 26, 1986 from Chief, Tom Zerwas. 13. Job Description for City Economic Development Position It was the consensus that this item return to the City Council for discussion at a future meeting. 14. Correspondence from Citizens It was the consensus contractor regarding that the responses the Ridgewood overlay from the City Engineer and project were satisfactory. 15. 1987 Staff Work Project Priorities It was the consensus that this item should be discussed at a future Council meeting. e 16. Street Striping It was the consensus that this item should be discussed at a future Council meeting.
