l PAGE 3 City Council Minutes 11/6/86 e COUNCILMlMBER TRALLE MOVED TO REVERSE THE CONSENSUS OF THE COUNCIL MADE ON 10/27/86 WHICH WOULD ALLOW THE REMOVAL OF THE WALL SEPARATING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S OFFICE. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. Mr. Klaers stated that staff would place an ad in the local paper advertising for office space tenants. Mr. Klaers also stated that he will be contacting local business owners .to determine a fair and competitive price for leasing space. Mr. Klaers noted that it may be possible to rent the entire building out for a total of $12.000 per year and that the tenants will pay the taxes and utilities. He also noted that there will be approximately 6.500 to 7.000 square feet of total space available for lease. and that the garage area will be retained for police vehicle storage. 8. Six Month Review of City Administrator Discussion of the City Administrator position was caried on. e COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED APPROVAL OF THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE SIX MONTH PROBATIONARY PERIOD FOR PATRICK. KLAERS. CITY ADMINISTRATOR. AND THAT AN INCREASE IN SALARY TO $40.000 PER YEAR BE AUTHORIZED EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 8. 1986. COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO INCREASE THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S CAR ALLOWANCE FROM $150/MONTH TO $250/MONTH. COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-1. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT VOTED AGAINST THE MOTION. 9A. Employment Agreement an employment agreement employment plus increases at a future date.
