. B. In addition thereto, the following appendix to Chapter <br /> 7080 is hereby adopted by reference and made a part hereof <br /> as fully as though set forth in full, a copy being on file <br /> with the City Clerk: <br /> i . Appendix A: Alternative Systems. <br /> 7. Tree Removal and Conservation of Vegetation. All <br /> subdivisions shall be planned, designed, constructed and <br /> maintained consistent with the following, at the City' s <br /> discretion: <br /> A. Existing healthy trees and native vegetation on the <br /> site shall be preserved to the maximum extent feasible and <br /> shall be protected by adequate means during construction. <br /> B. Where inadequate vegetation exists on land not being <br /> disturbed for development, permanent vegetation shall be <br /> established as soon as possible. <br /> C. Following construction, vegetation suitable to the <br /> site shall be planted. The type or species of tree planted <br /> shall be approved by the city. Trees with root structures <br /> that are less likely to interfere with utility lines or <br /> sidewalks, or cause other nuisance damage are preferable. <br /> Trees shall have a trunk diameter (measured twelve (12) <br /> inches above ground level) of not less than two (2) inches, <br /> and shall be planted in not less than one (1) cubic yard of <br /> good growing soil with a suitable amount of fertilizer. <br /> Approved multiple varieties shall be used alternately. <br /> Trees shall be planted at intervals of at least one every <br /> sixty (60) feet and at a distance of at least six (6) feet <br /> outside of the road Right-of-Way. No tree shall be planted <br /> within the road Right-of-Way. <br /> D. Consistent with approved grading plans, existing trees <br /> shall be preserved within any Right-of-Way when such trees <br /> are suitably located and in good health. <br /> E. No slash, dead trees, or uprooted stumps shall remain <br /> after development . <br /> 8 . Erosion and Sediment Control. The following guidelines <br /> shall be applied in the subdivision and development of land <br /> areas, at the City' s discretion: <br /> • A. The development shall conform to the topography and <br /> soils so as to create the least potential for soil erosion. <br /> M36 <br />
