Building Elevations The proposed building consists of a decorative rock-faced block along with accent bands of smooth concrete block. Video Update's color scheme is primarily a white building with red accent bands. The Planning Commission may recall one of the elements in the Planned Unit Development was to maintain some architectural consistency throughout the development. One of the prominent building materials used on the Target building and each of the multi-tenant buildings (Buildings B and C) on each side of Target is a brick material. This same material has been incorporated into a couple of the free-standing buildings (First National Bank and Wendy's). This brick material has not only provided some consistency in the type of masonry material use • in the development, but also maintained the earthtone color scheme. Staff would suggest the proposed Video Update building accomplish one of the following two: • The proposed color scheme be modified to be more consistent with the predominant earthtone colors that are being used throughout the development; or, • Incorporate a similar brick material providing the continuity discussed in the planned unit development agreement. H. Signage 1. Attached is a proposed monument-style sign for Video Update. This particular sign design is consistent with the planned unit development agreement for Elk Park Center and is the same type of sign that has been approved with other free-standing sites in the development.
