MEMORANDUM
• TO: Mayor and City Council December 13, 1979
FROM: City Administrator
SUBJECT: Brentwood Preliminary Plat
At a special meeting of the Planning Commission held on Monday, Dec. 10,
1979, the Planning Commission unanimously voted to recommend a lot size
variance for the Brentwood Subdivision being developed by Mr. Dennis
Anderson. The Planning Commission, in its review of the lot size variance
request, found that a variance in this area of the City, with the conditions
present, would not create an adverse impact on the City's zoning controls
as established in the interim ordinance.
Mr. Anderson has indicated he will make the necessary changes or arrange-
ments on 201st Street in order to have part of the entire right-of-way in
the Brentwood Subdivision or an appropriate easement obtained from the
property to the north to allow for a 66 foot roadway. In addition, the
street names would be altered so that they are less confusing. In light
of these changes and the Planning Commission's recommendation to grant
a lot size variance, it is recommended that the City Council grant the
lot size variance and approve Mr. Anderson's final plat.
Respectfully Submitted,
Robert C. Middaugh
City Administrator
RCM:adb
•
