<br />Page 5 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />City Council Minutes <br />September 22. 1986 <br /> <br />Mr. Tim Hiller of 19340 Norfolk questioned whether there is a way to <br />stop the project at this point. The City Engineer stated that there is <br />no way to terminate the contract without paying a penalty. <br /> <br />Mr. DuWayne Moll of 11882 193rd Lane stated he was objecting to the <br />overlay project because of the sewer problems in the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Wayne Ruckle of 19354 Oxford questioned the basis of the decision to <br />overlay the streets. The Street Superintendent stated that the roads <br />were very thin. <br /> <br />Jeanne Eggert of 19319 Oxford stated she was opposed to the project <br />because of the sewer problems in the area and the possibility of well <br />contamination. She stated she felt that City utilities would be put in <br />the area soon because of the sewer problems. <br /> <br />Mr. Dale Martin <br />completed. The <br />depending on the <br /> <br />of 19426 Norfolk questioned when the project would be <br />City Engineer stated the project would be started soon <br />weather. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Councilmember Gunkel stated that at the first public hearing ordering <br />the project the only concern which was voiced was the fact that not <br />enough properties were being assessed. Councilmember Gunkel stated that <br />the Council did address this concern by adding certain properties to the <br />project. She then asked for a show of hands of the people who had <br />attended this public hearing. Four people in the room indicated they <br />had attended the public hearing in which the project was ordered. <br /> <br />Councilmember Engstrom stated he had the same concerns as Councilmember <br />Gunkel. He stated the people at the Council meeting tonight should have <br />been present with their concerns regarding sewer problems at the first <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Debbie Anderson <br /> <br />problems. She <br />two months. <br />not want to see <br /> <br />of 19358 Norfolk stated they had extensive sewer <br />stated they had to have their septic tank pumped every <br />She indicated they have now corrected the problem and do <br />City utilities come in at this time. <br /> <br />Mr. Gary Kruger of 19337 Norfolk Street stated he was opposed to the <br />assessment because he felt the roads by his home were in good condition. <br />He stated he lives on a deadend street and the road gets very little <br />traffic and therefore. is in good condition. <br /> <br />Ms. Jane Titrud stated she wanted it in the minutes that she <br />favor of City sewer project. but that she would like <br />evaluation of the area done before new roads are put in. <br /> <br />was not in <br />to see an <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Nolte of 19388 Oxford Street questioned what would happen if he <br />paid the $1.000 assessment charge in full and the assessment was adopted <br />for $950 per lot. would he receive the extra money back that he paid. <br />Mr. Maurer stated that the money would be refunded. <br />
