COUNCILMEMBER <br />ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />6.5. Signalization on Elk Hills Drive and School Street/Highway 169 <br /> <br />Terry Maurer indicated that a meeting was held regarding the <br />signalization of Highway 169 and School Street with representatives from <br />the MnDOT office. Mr. Maurer indicated there would be some intersection <br />realignment required because of Elk Hills Drive and School Street. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY ENGINEER, TERRY MAURER, <br />TO PROCEED WITH THE PRELIMINARY DESIGN WORK FOR THE REALIGNMENT OF ELK <br />HILLS ROAD WITH SCHOOL STREET IN ORDER TO ALLOW FOR FUTURE SIGNALIZATION. <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER WILLIAMS MOVED TO AUTHORIZE TERRY MAURER, CITY ENGINEER, TO <br />WORK WITH MNDOT IN OBTAINING MSA DESIGNATION FOR ELK HILLS DRIVE WHICH <br />NEEDS RECONSTRUCTION IN ORDER TO OBTAIN SIGNALIZATION. COUNCILMEMBER <br />ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />~ 6.6. Discussion on Water Extension to the Houlton Property <br /> <br />Terry Maurer. City Engineer, advised the Council that the City had <br />received a signed statement from Mr. Houlton which waives his right to a <br />public hearing. He indicated that Mr. Houlton is aware of the estimated <br />total project cost of $8.450.00. <br /> <br />Mr. Maurer indicated that the proposed improvements would extend a six <br />inch lateral watermain from the Babinski property located just to the <br />north of the Houlton Propety. to the northeast corner of the Houlton <br />property. <br /> <br />6.7. Industrial Park Improvements <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 86-46, A RESOLUTION <br />ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS <br />IN THE INDUSTRIAL PARK. COUNCILMEMBER WILLIAMS SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />7. Consideration of Resolution Authorizing Issuance of $1.975.000 General <br />Obligation Bond <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 86-47, A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE, AWARDING SALE, PRESCRIBING THE FORM AND DETAILS <br />AND PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF $1,975,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION <br />IMPROVEMENT BONDS. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 4-0. <br />
