Consideration of Bituminous Overlay Project for Knollwood West, <br />Knollwood, Knollwood West 2nd, Oak Hills, Oak Hills 2nd and all <br />properties abutting Tyler and Ulysses Streets <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Terry Maurer, City Engineer, explained that an informational meeting was <br />held regarding the bituminous overlay project but that Oak Hills and <br />residents abutting Tyler and Ulysses Streets were not notified of this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Maurer explained the <br />assessed. He noted that <br />Tyler Street, was $198,300 <br />of $1,100 per lot with 146 <br /> <br />project and described the proposed area to be <br />the total estimated project cost, including <br />with the City paying $37,700 and an assessment <br />lots being assessed, totalling $160,600. <br /> <br />Mayor Hinkle opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Mr. Irving Classen indicated he lived on Tyler Street and questioned if <br />Tyler Street would be widened. The City Engineer indicated that this <br />project was strictly an overlay and indicated that if the rebuilding of <br />Tyler Street was going to be considered in the future. he would propose <br />dropping Tyler Street from the overlay project. <br /> <br />Mr. John Baccus indicated he lived on 197th and Tyler and indicated he <br />would like to see Tyler Street taken off the overlay project because he <br />felt it would be money thrown away. <br /> <br />A resident from 202nd Avenue indicated he felt Tyler Street should not be <br />an option in the overlay project. He stated he felt the City should <br />e budget for the rebuilding of Tyler Street because it is a main street. <br />
