FEBRUARY 3. 1986 <br /> <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Hinkle. Councilmembers Gunkel. Schuldt and <br />Williams <br /> <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Councilmember Engstrom <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT: Tom Bublitz; City Administrator. Terry Maurer; City <br />Engineer. and Darrell Mack; Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />Superintendent <br /> <br />1. The Elk River City Council meeting was called to order by Mayor Hinkle at <br />7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Agenda <br /> <br />Items 7A - Building and Zoning Administrator salary. 9A - Roma Tool. 9B _ <br />Burlington Northern Property and 9C - Main Street Zone Change were added <br />to the agenda. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER WILLIAMS MOVED TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 3. 1986 CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />Consideration of January 27. 1986 City Council Minutes <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE JANUARY 27. 1986 CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. COUNCILMEMBER WILLIAMS SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />4. Open Mike <br /> <br />No one appeared for this item. <br /> <br />5. Consideration of Consulting Services to assist City with RDF facility <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the Council had previously <br />authorized the staff to look into consulting assistance in order to <br />assist with the review of the EIS in relation to the RDF facility and <br />also to receive assistance in the conditional use permit process in <br />relation to the RDF facility. <br /> <br />The City Administrator introduced Mr. Bob Pulford who is a planning <br />consultant in solid waste management and environmental affairs. Mr. <br />Pulford addressed the Council and stated information regarding his <br />background. He indicated he charged a fee of $35/hr. for his services. <br />The Council proceeded to interview Mr. Pulford. No action was taken at <br />this time regarding the hiring of Mr. Pulford as a consultant to the City <br />of Elk River. <br />
